I launched my DSP in 2020 and exited in 2024 due to high insurance costs.
Like you, I quickly realized the importance of establishing a strong safety culture to earn top incentives. This approach led to Fantastic Plus scores and a top 5% ranking in the DSP network. But, maintaining a strong safety program was not enough. I later realized that managing risk involves prevention (safety), as well as responding to incidents in a timely manner and managing their outcomes diligently (risk management). Ignoring this will worsen your loss history and leave you exposed to the volatile insurance market. After experiencing this first hand, I realized and understood I lacked the depth of knowledge and resources to manage risk effectively—an issue many DSPs face.
Acknowledging the need, I co-founded GRYPHON to help DSPs take control of their risk to stay in business.

He launched his DSP in 2020 in New Windsor, NY (DYO1) and built a last mile delivery company with a solid reputation of consistently exceeding Amazon's performance metrics. After voluntarily exiting the Amazon DSP program in March 2024 due to high insurance costs, Chris is now focused on helping DSPs avoid his “mistakes” and prosper through a pioneering risk management solution model.
